What is a man?

Dr. Stephen Lowe, PhD

The current convoluted and ridiculous question of “What is a Woman?” has been a topic of much debate lately. As basic and non-convoluted as such a question may seem to the ordinary and reasonable person, it is sadly a question that has been forced into the western cultural spotlight. To the reasonably prudent mind, the answer to such a question is quite simple. A woman is a biological female that possesses 2 X chromosomes and someone that has the proper biological anatomy to produce children from their womb. The answer to such a ridiculous question is not one of opinion or moral relativism, it is an answer that is provable by irrefutable science and objective facts. So why is there so much debate over such a simple question? Well, there are many answers to that question. However, the foremost obvious response is because, men can pretend to be woman without overtly obvious societal ramifications. In other words, men can deteriorate their bigger and stronger biological attributes via hormone replacement therapies (HRT), to closely mirror a female in some instances. This of course does not make them female but given their new outwardly appearance achieved through HRT and the amputation of certain body parts, naturally feminine men can superficially resemble women. However, the same is not true when a female attempts to transition into a male via HRT and the amputation of body parts. Regardless of what medical procedures the individual female has had administered to them, they remain outwardly and noticeably, female. Furthermore, given the biological differences between men and women, a woman pretending to be a man could not compete with biological males at large when in athletic or physical competitions. Natural physical inequalities would be too obvious for all to see, and this would jeopardize the demonic political agenda that is the driving force behind gender ideology. Moreover, how did society intellectually devolve to a point in which we ignore basic known science and undebatable facts such as objective biology?

The answer to this question is simple. Men have allowed such intellectual depravity to take root within our society. Men have forgotten who they are. Men have turned away from their creator. Men have failed to protect one the most precious gifts that God gave them, women. So, the question remains, “what is a man?” To truly know what a man is beyond their XY chromosomes, man must first know his creator and why he was created. The Bible is the only source of truth that man possesses. It is the only standard of absolute truth that man can refer to when seeking to answer such a question. What does the Bible tell us about man and why he was created?

The answer is found within the book of Genesis Chapter 1: “26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, after Our likeness, to rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it.” 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that crawls upon the earth.”

….. From these few verses, we see that God created man first and foremost to conquer the earth and all that is in it. To subdue it. God created the earth for man, and man for the earth. But is that all that man was created to do? What is encompassed within the duties of a conqueror? Is man just a barbarian? No. As we further examine the scriptures, we find various templates of what man is and how man should act. For example, we find Biblical characters such as David in the books of Samuel, Chronicles, and Psalms that show men how to overcome impossible tasks, defeat their inward desires, and chase after God’s own heart. We find characters such as Job whose faith in and reliance on God, never wavered through deep despair, trials, and tribulations.  We find characters such as Nehemiah, who navigated his life and goals such as rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem through prayer and his reliance on God. But perhaps the most resounding template of what a man should be, is Christ himself. Christ showed men how they are to operate within this world and throughout their lives. During his time on this earth, Christ was a servant-leader. He led the masses with wisdom and discernment. He also displayed deep love, sorrow, and conviction in the father. The answer to what a man is, are all the above-mentioned Biblical examples. If men had remained faithful to God, scripture, and prayer-led purpose, throughout history, intellectually dumb questions such as “what is a woman” or “what is a man” wouldn’t be asked or debated. Men would know who they are. They are God’s first human creation. They are Christ’s cross bearers. They are leaders. They are servants. They conquerors. They are protectors. They are unique. They are independent. Men, enough of the nonsense, it is time we re-learn who we were created to be. It is time that we usher normalcy back into all facets of our society. It is time that we return to Adam and to Christ.
